What I Believe

What do I Believe?

We all want to be that agent of change.

Change is happening, but is it the right kind of change? I believe that in order to change, you need to know who you are right now. What do you stand for?  What is important to you?  It’s time to say and act on what we believe so things CAN change. The time for “I don’t want to cause a problem,” is over.

Speak your truth. So here are some of my truths:

I believe in the power of the individual.
I believe that ALL beings are created equal and should have equal rights.
I believe that love IS the answer.
I believe in the simple right of marriage equality.
I believe in a woman’s right to choose.
I believe that guns kill.
I believe that all religions have honorable messages.
I believe that my actions and words can make a difference, especially to those around me.
I believe that eating good food heals.
I believe that nature heals so will spend more time outside.
I believe we must oppose abusive actions (to women, minorities, animals, disabled, of the environment…)
I believe that words have power.
I believe in the importance of clean water. And that any regulations put in place to help keep the water clean are not only necessary, but vital to our survival.
I believe that we must gather our courage and speak our truth, no matter what.
I believe we can stand up for all of this in a loving, kind yet powerful way.
(I also believe that border collies are awesome.)

What is on your list? What do YOU believe in?  Who are you, at your core?

If you are not pleased with where the world is headed, start with your own heart. Make your list. We have a lot of work to do. Our children, and the rest of the world, will be watching us.

Be the change!
