Spiritual Properties: Enthusiasm, Loyalty. Magical Properties: Healing, Love

Palmarosa Essential Oil has a sweet, floral, lemony scent that awakens us to our auric field. It gives us direction, purpose, and strength. Essential Oil of Palmarosa teaches us to love ourselves with enthusiasm, be gentle, kind, and loyal, and to create space within our heart where love can grow.

As is one of the Angelic Fragrances, Palmarosa Essential Oil assists us when we are feeling neglected or misunderstood, and would like the comfort of the Angelic Realms. Her soft, rose-like scent and energy makes her a lovely choice for calming issues of the skin. Cooling and moistening in essence, she feels wonderful applied on any part of the skin. With a cooling, anti-inflammatory nature she well with dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis and would also be good for skin infections (including fungal) and even shingles. Palmarosa is a gentle stimulant to the endocrine system and used to encourage lymphatic drainage.

Having both calming and uplifting effects, Palmarosa is a tonic for the heart and mind. Using her supports deep sleep, uplifts yet calms, settles the mood, and provides comfort and support for feminine cycles.  Palmarosa can even offer relief from the mental afflictions of insecurity, grief, or defensiveness.

In Ayurveda, the oil is used for neuralgia, lumbago, sciatica and rheumatic pain and is a common ingredient in Ayurvedic skin care products. The dried herb is traditionally used to treat fevers, dyspepsia and colitis. Some have even used it for hair loss. (VPK-)

She has a feminine scent but masculine power.  With this combination, Palmarosa will teach us how to lead with power and strength but also with gentleness and love. The Divine Feminine power is rising on the planet and with the help of Palmarosa, we can step into that stream of power with grace and sweetness.

Palmarosa plant also reminds us that grasses are common. Grasses are the plant that most everyone has daily contact with since they are on every roadside and field.  Even though these grasses are cut down often, they regrow, many times with more fierceness than before.  This teaching helps us see that even though life can cut us down and we can feel like our life has burned to the ground, we can regrow with strength. Grasses also provide nutrition to a diverse group of animals including humans.  If Palmarosa has stepped into your life, look at your diet and see where you can increase the greens.

Palmarosa can open your awareness during meditation when placed over the “third eye” or brow.  She balances hormones by being rubbed over the throat and her real strength lies when we put her over the solar plexus chakra or stomach area.  By doing this, Palmarosa helps to harness the inner power of our “Sun” or energy source.

On a recent trip the US southwest desert, I travel during the hottest time of the year with day-time temperatures staying in the triple digits and night time temps hovering around 90.  As I opened by travel case, I quickly became aware that all the essential oil allies I brought were not going to be helpful.  They were just too heavy and hot, even the Yin/Yin ones. Luckily one shining start DID pop out and come to the rescue, Palmarosa!  She is light, fragrant and cooling. Every summertime protocol should have Palmarosa included.

As my “Essential Oil for the year 2016,” Palmarosa has stepped forward to help guide and support us through the tumultuous times ahead. In addition to all the above, with daily use, Palmarosa will help those who cling to the past, for people trying to posses others or MAKE them change and for those who are jealous of how life is turning out for others. What magic she has! She is sweet, supportive and full of enthusiasm.

Open up to her power and gentleness to discover her personal teachings for you.
